Celebrate Lake Monroe Day With Us!
Join Us For Lake Monroe Day!
Tickets are now available for Lake Monroe Day, our favorite day of the year!  Join us on Sunday, September 14th for our fourth annual celebration and fundraiser.  This year's music will be provided by local band King Bee and the Stingers.  Enjoy heavy appetizers, a cash bar, a wine pull, and updates on the work we do to protect our beloved lake.  Eat, dance, and party with fellow lake lovers.

Tickets are $30 for members, $35 for non-members, or $220 for a table of eight.  Bring your friends!

Tour De Ramps September 13
For the third year in a row, the Bloomington Bicycle Club is hosting a "Tour de Ramps" where cyclists can bicycle all around the lake - and up and down as many boat ramps as they can stomach. Learn more and register at
https://www.bloomingtonbicycleclub.org/tour-des-ramps/.

Not your thing but you'd like to help out?  We are looking for volunteers to help serve sandwiches at the lunch stop.  Please contact Keith Bobay at volunteer@friendsoflakemonroe.org for more information and to sign up!
Septic Maintenance Program Launching in Jackson County
Have any friends in northwestern Jackson County?  Let them know that thanks to generous sponsorship from the Raymond Foundation, we are offering up to $200 off septic tank pumping for households in the Lake Monroe watershed.  Our goal is to increase awareness of septic system care - like pumping your septic tank every 3-5 years.
Households in the watershed (Freetown, Kurtz, Houston, etc.) can receive 50% off their septic pumping expenses, up to $200.  Details and an application are available at www.friendsoflakemonroe.org/septic.
