We’re now in the process of raising funds to purchase a portable turbidimeter (Hach 2100 Q) for our Shadyside water sampling program. This instrument, which sells for $1,215.00, would provide accurate and convenient results in the field. It can store the readings under the sample site with the date and the operator’s initials.
This turbidity testing, along with the Secchi disk measurements, provides Friends of Lake Monroe with scientific evidence of changes in the water quality due to a variety of conditions such as temperature, wave action, or an influx of nutrients or sediments. The numbers can tell a story.
A portable turbidimeter costs $1,215.
Will you help cover the cost?
Thank you for your support of the Friends of Lake Monroe
