Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) Deadline is February 10th

Are you a farmer, rancher, or forest manager?  Did you know that the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) provides payments for expanding conservation activities while maintaining agricultural productions on their land?  This program is administered by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and supports practices that protect our soil and water.  When these practices are adopted in the Lake Monroe watershed, it improves water quality in Lake Monroe. The application deadline for CSP is February 10th.  While applications are accepted throughout the year, interested producers should submit applications to their local NRCS office by the deadline to ensure their applications are considered for 2023 funding.  Anyone interested in applying should reach out to their local NRCS office as soon as possible.  Those living in Brown and Monroe Counties should contact the Bloomington Service Center at (812) 334-4323.  Those living in Jackson County should contact the Brownstown Service Center at (812) 358-2367.  A complete list of NRCS offices is available here.
