The Friends of Lake Monroe is assisting the DNR with their annual fall shoreline cleanup on October 6. We need 2-3 volunteers to drive pontoon boats, 3-4 volunteers to assist with the cookout following the cleanup, and 2-3 volunteers to help clean the boats after the cleanup.
NOTE: the DNR will solicit for the 80 or so volunteers needed for the cleanup itself separately. This request is for volunteers to assist the Friends of Lake Monroe with the specific tasks above. Boat drivers are needed from about 1:30-5:30. Those assisting with the cookout are needed at about 5 pm for a couple of hours, and boat cleaners at about 5 pm for an hour or so. All volunteers are encouraged to stay for the cookout following the event.
If you can assist, please use fill out the form below and be sure to indicate which task you would like to help with. We will provide more specific details about the event and time needed as the event date approaches.
