Join Monroe County Soil & Water Conservation District and Friends of Lake Monroe for a Soil Health Field Day at the Monroe County Airport (972 S Kirby Rd, Bloomington, IN 47403). Local producer Bill Duckworth will talk about his experience using no-till farming and cover crops to rebuild soil health on the fields surrounding the airport. SWCD District Manager Martha Miller will conduct a soil health demonstration and discuss programs available to support the adoption of more soil and water conservation practices.
